Maxine Manley

Counselling Psychologist

Maxine is a Counselling Psychologist and a graduate member of the Psychological Society of Ireland. She obtained a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. Her training was widespread from Psychoanalytic to Narrative to Systemic and more. Maxine specializes in mood disorders, grief and relationships but has experience seeing all kinds of mental health and life challenges.

Experience

Counselling Psychologist

Maxine works with children (9+), adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. She has worked in Hospital settings, the University setting at a Student Support Centre and various children's homes seeing abandoned children and adolescents. She has been in her own private practice for the last five years and worked both face-to-face and online. She has lectured Psychology Modules and supervised many counsellors and student psychologists.

 

She is passionate about Mental Health and is currently doing her Doctorate on Mental Health narratives experienced by university students.
